The Nipawin Skate Park was built in 2016 and is an extremely well used facility amongst the youth. The park is easily accessible with plenty of parking space, easy to locate, and tailored to appeal to skaters and bikers of every skill level.

In Central Park you can test your hand at two different 9 whole disc golf courses. Discs are available at Nipawin Tourism and Information Center during office hours. After hours, you may pick up discs at one of our provided lock boxes by scanning the QR code on the box.
Available for use from the Nipawin Evergreen Center. Explore the 4-season destinations that are the Nipawin Regional Park and the Evergreen Golf Course. Skis and snowshoes are available at the Nipawin Evergreen Centre with easy access to full groomed ski trails. There are skis and boots available for all ages making it accessible for the whole family!
Available for use from the Nipawin Tourism and Information Center, fat tire bikes are off-road style bikes built to explore territory that are not necessarily accessible by vehicle, and can also be used on trails in the snow. These bikes are a great family activity to stay active during any season of your visit.
Teaming up with the Central Park School the play program known as the Fun Factory runs for 6 weeks each summer. This program provides outings to the regional park, the Pool @ Central Park and a wide variety of craft and play options.
The fastest growing sport is in Nipawin, year-round. The Nipawin Evergreen Centre offers 3 courts in the auditorium for the winter months and 3 courts in the curling ring for the summer months. Utilize the multiple payment options with drop in, seasonal, and monthly rates available. Paddles and ball may be supplied.
With approximately 46 acres of space Central Park most functionally used park. Central Park is host to the annual exhibition where the horse racetrack and a grand stand area are packed full.
The Park is home to the Centennial and Jubilee arenas, The Pool @ Central Park, 2 nine hole disc golf courses, youth ball diamonds, and the skatepark, providing many recreational opportunities in all seasons.
The Central Park Elementary School (k-3) is also on the grounds providing play equipment play equipment and soccer pitch.
For the outdoor enthusiast, the park contains a 1-km walking/bike loop trail through the pines and open grounds to get out and enjoy.
This 1.5 acre space is located on the corner of 9th Avenue west and Centre Street. This park has numerous play structures, a merry-go round, safety swing on the swing set. There outdoor ice rink that can be use in the summer for arena football, outdoor box lacrosse, or grass hockey.
This 1/4 acre park is part of the Coventry Crescent subdivision. It contains a play structure a mini Zip Line, spring rider toy, along with benches lights and picnic tables for adult gathering.
This 2 acre space is located on 4th Street North and Pine Avenue and is home to Nipawin’s newest and largest play structure, featuring a zipline, tots structure, outdoor exercise equipment, numerous swings and a small paved basketball court. With the placement of a gazebo, hibachi grill, and numerous picnic tables, Pinedale Park is a great place for a picnic or hotdog roast
Kiteley Park:
This 1/2 acre space is situated on the corner of 1st Street West and Maple Road West. This structure is 2 piece with the smaller structure geared to youth ages 3-5 while he larger one targets 6 12 year old’s. Kiteley Park is home to the rocket shaped monkey bars, swing set. hibachi and has plenty of green area to play games or throw a ball around.
This 3/4 acre space is located on Montgomery Drive. This park features a play structure, spring riding toys, and the traditional merry-go round. There is a walking trail with direction connection to Central Park for easy and safe access to the elementary school.
The Nipawin Public Library is a branch of Wapiti Regional Library. The library moved to a new facility in 2005 and is now located in Central Park Learning Centre, a facility shared with Central Park Elementary School and Cumberland Regional College.
The Library has computers and a printer available for public use. The library also has Wi-Fi access. Any patron with a library card can access resources from any library in Saskatchewan by taking advantage of the inter-library loan feature.
The library offers community programming such as author talks, how-to seminars, and the Summer Reading Program.
In 2020, the Town of Nipawin created a 20 plot garden box for the do-it-yourself gardener. The garden is located on property known as Botting Park. The Leisure Services staff plants potatoes, cucumbers and carrots each year in the 2 large ground level boxes and donates the harvested goods to the Nipawin food bank.
Garden plots are available by contacting Abbey with Leisure Services 306-862-9795. Plots are available on a 1st come 1st serve basis and each year you will have the option to retain your plot.
The Park name originated from Mr. William Botting was mayor of Nipawin from 1948-51, owner of a flour mill and lumber yard. The location is 2nd Avenue West and Maple Road on the site of the water tower.
There is on-site water hoses and sand point that will provide water to all plots from the lock box. A code will be provided to all tenants to use. A large variety of plot sizes are available for all your gardening desires.
