Comprehensive Snow Removal Strategy

Our snow removal services are designed to address the needs of our residents and businesses with a systematic approach: 

Priority Routes: We focus on primary roads, major intersections, and essential routes first to ensure that emergency services and essential traffic can travel safely. Once these areas are clear, we move on to secondary roads and residential streets.

Regular Plowing and Salting: Our grader and salt truck, loader,  tractor & skidsteer with snowblower as well as 3 ton trucks operate around the clock during heavy snowfall. We use a combination of plowing and salting to prevent ice buildup and improve road traction.

Sidewalks and Public Spaces: In addition to roadways, we maintain all Nipawin’s sidewalks, town owned parking lots, and other public areas to ensure they are safe and accessible for pedestrians.

We monitor weather conditions continuously and deploy resources as needed to address snow accumulation and ice. Our team is committed to minimizing disruptions and ensuring that snow removal is completed as efficiently as possible. However, during extreme weather events, response times may vary, and we appreciate your patience.

Safety is our top priority. We ask residents to assist by keeping vehicles off the streets during snow removal operations and by not pushing snow from driveways onto the road. This helps us work more effectively and ensures that your driveways and roads are cleared as quickly as possible.
